Dave Fellers, FASAE, CAE

Dave Fellers has over 30 years experience in association management and consulting with a particular expertise in assessing organizations, annual meetings, and exhibitions, evaluating publications and mobile applications, developing and growing international attendance, outsourcing and transition staffing, planning for strategy and succession, and developing non-dues revenue.

Dave served as president of ethnoMetrics, Inc., a leading consulting firm in the convention and exposition industry from 2008-2010; executive director of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) from 2001-2008.

He also served as the executive director of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), 1999-2001; executive director of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), 1991-1999; and previously as division director of the American Nurses Association and as executive vice president of the Oklahoma and the Texas Oil Marketers Associations.

Dave has been very involved in the association and convention community and served on the board of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), a past board member and vice chair of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and served as president of both the Oklahoma and Texas Societies of Association Executives. Additionally, he has served on the boards of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau, Chicago Chamber of Commerce and American Association of Medical Society Executives (AAMSE).

He is a former chair of the Specialty Society CEO Coalition, composed of 30 major medical organizations, and currently serves as chair of the Kansas City Society of Association Executives (KCSAE) Membership Committee, on the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) Education Committee and the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) Research Committee. Dave is a highly regarded association executive. In 2008, ASAE honored him with the Key Award, their highest honor; in 2002, the Association Forum honored him with the Samuel Shapiro Award for Leadership Excellence; and, in 1991 the Kansas City Society of Association Executives Professional Excellence Award.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma, and undertook graduate studies in Public Relations from the University of Oklahoma.
