Ann Kenworthy, CAE
Ann Kenworthy is a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in association and association foundation management. She has excellent management, marketing and relationship skills with special expertise in trend analysis, strategic planning, finance, fundraising, and product and program development. Ann specializes in working with small to medium-sized professional associations.
During her tenure as an association and foundation executive, Ann has held senior management, deputy executive director, and CEO positions in fields as diverse as architecture, association management, healthcare and future-focused research.
She also has a broad experience in consultancy and has served as Interim CEO for a number of TMC clients. During those transitions, Ann:
- Led a professional society in the mental health field through a dramatic downsizing of its board, a change in name, and a successful financial turnaround. Ann managed the executive search process and helped the board navigate these changes successfully to position the association for future growth.
- Transitioned a client from an association management firm to an independent staff
- Led a scientific/medical society through a transition that included stabilizing staff, repositioning the organization through a strategic name change, development of strong internal policies and procedures, and a national executive search.
- Led an academic and scientific society through a transition that focused on a governance restructuring, internal headquarters assessment and realignment, and the introduction of successful board development practices.
Ann is a graduate of Oberlin College who earned her Certified Association Executive designation in 1992. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, where she has been a frequent speaker
