Todd Daniel Named NOMMA Executive Director, Replacing Interim CEO Fiegel
FAYETTEVILLE, GA -- The National Ornamental & Miscellaneous Metals Association (NOMMA) has announced the appointment of Todd Daniel as its new Executive Director. The announcement follows a unanimous vote of approval by the NOMMA Board of Directors.
Prior to his new role, Daniel served as NOMMA's long-time Communications Manager, where he managed the association's printed and electronic communications. Daniel joined NOMMA in 1991 as editor of Fabricator magazine, and later held the titles of Publications Manager and Communications Manager.
In making the announcement, NOMMA president Bob Foust III said, "Todd has been an important part of NOMMA for 18 years. Todd has taken Fabricator to one of the top industry magazines; he has been and continues to be a leader in the building code arena; and not to mention he has brought NOMMA into the 21st century with the ListServ and NOMMA's website."¯
Following college graduation, Daniel began his career as a newspaper reporter and later became an editor for various publications. Before joining NOMMA, Daniel was executive editor of Sigma Publications, which managed a chain of parenting and teen publications throughout the Southeast.
"I am honored and excited about my new role,"¯ Daniel said. "I have always had a deep admiration for small business owners and creative people, and NOMMA is a combination of both. I will always give my all to help our members succeed."
During his tenure at NOMMA, Daniel is credited with greatly expanding and improving Fabricator magazine. He also developed the association's website, e-mail newsletter, technical bulletins, and ListServ system.

Since June, NOMMA has been managed by Transition Management Consulting Inc., a management transition firm based in Washington, D.C. Serving as interim executive director has been John L. Fiegel, CAE, a long-time association professional and expert at management transitions. During his time at NOMMA, Fiegel made a complete assessment of NOMMA's operations and staff, and presented a recommendations report to the Board. Fiegel's interim role ends November 30, 2009.
Daniel holds a dual BS in Marketing/Management from Kennesaw State University. He and his wife Sandy have two daughters and reside in Powder Springs, GA.
