David Lorms is a seasoned association professional with more than 30 years of broad experience at state and national levels, including proven capabilities in volunteer leadership development, member engagement, planning, and component relations. David is highly skilled at linking individual member needs to organizational initiatives and fostering collaborative relationships.
David recently provided interim leadership to Men Can Stop Rape and the Yoga Alliance. Prior to his work with Transition Management Consulting, David held senior positions with American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Autism Society of America, and American Heart Association.
As an association consultant, David has provided platform presentations, planning retreats, staff and volunteer development sessions.
David earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) in 1991. He remains active with ASAE, serving on the Component Relations Section Council, consultant task force, and steering committee for social responsibility. Additionally, David serves on the board of Directors for Beacon House – DC, community-based non-profit bringing educational opportunities to inner city at risk children. David routinely presents at national and local conferences and meetings on association management issues.
David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from California State University-Chico.
